Tell us about your fitness journey
I have been involved in various sports since childhood. Football, gymnastics, cheerleading, and volleyball. I currently am still an avid sand volleyball player.
How I got into CrossFIt
I found CrossFit about 4 years ago when I decided to stop playing hardcourt volleyball and wanted to try something new. I fell in love with the physical and mental challenges, the fitness, and most importantly the community that CrossFit offers.
Why do you coach?
I coach because I want to help people not only achieve their fitness goals, but challenge them to push past what they thought were their limits. It’s rewarding to be a part of helping someone master a technique or skill or just offer that extra moral support as they work towards their goals.
What do you do outside of KW-CrossFit?
I have been married to my husband for almost 15 years and we have one amazing daughter who will soon be turning 12. My primary career is as a scientist studying cystic fibrosis. We have an amazing lab at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and run a very rewarding personalized medicine center for rare mutation cystic fibrosis patients. When I’m not in the gym at KW either working out or coaching, you can ind me on the volleyball court playing co-ed doubles in the sand.
