I have been into health and fitness practically my entire life! I began playing softball as young as I can remember and continued up through high school. Through that, I developed a love for working out – especially strength training.  I have always been fascinated with muscle growth and development.  Also how food plays a dramatic role in every aspect of our lives: from how we look, feel, and perform!  After college I started getting burned out with doing my own workout routines and stopped seeing the results I was chasing – so I looked for something new and exciting.  That’s when I discovered CrossFit (2011)!  I love/hated how it forced me to expose (and work on) my weaknesses, while simultaneously allowing me to shine in my strengths  – AND FROM THERE I WAS HOOKED!

It was during my first year of CrossFit, that the Whole30 Diet was introduced, so of course my affiliate at the time did a 30-day challenge, and my competitive self followed it religiously!!!  From that I discovered that my “healthy diet” was not actually working for me at all!!!  I had normal seasonal allergies, skin conditions and typical digestive issues that were “normal” and just something I had to deal with.  In those 30-day, all of these conditions completely disappeared!  I wanted to know more.

I am passionate about helping others work and reach their goals – whether it’s an experienced athlete to someone who has never worked out a day in their life.  I don’t want to show people what I can do – I want to show people what THEY can do!  When they “get it” that is the most rewarding moment for me.  I equally celebrate the 500# deadlift, the first pull-up or finally being able to squat below parallel without pain!

Although I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, it is the life experiences and the people that have crossed my path that brought me to where I am meant to be today!  I am so proud of the gym I own and the community we have created here at KW. The diversity makes anyone & everyone feel welcome and immediately part of “our family.”

I have been participating in athletics my entire life and love nothing more than to share my enthusiasm with clients and class members! My early career included Division 1 women’s basketball player, Ironman triathlete, marathon runner and trail and ultra running.

I am working on my nutrition coaching certification to help clients improve their health and fitness by making lifestyle changes. I love helping people reach their fitness and life goals!

I have been involved in sports since I was a child. I was a competitive gymnast into my teenage years, and then I fell in love with volleyball for about 2 decades before deciding that my hardcourt days were done. Then I found CrossFit, specifically KW CrossFit. The community at KW is unmatched. The gym quickly became my second home and the KW community my second family.

I love helping people reach their goals, gain confidence, and strengthen themselves both mentally and physically.

I started out in sports when I was only 6 years old in swimming and artistic swimming (but, they called it synchronized swimming back then!). I loved the challenge and being part of team sports. Joining CrossFit in 2018 really “worked” for me, because it was like going back to childhood, I always worked harder and did better when I had a coach instructing me, and people around me working together for a common goal– I discovered it was fun to get fit and suffer through workouts of the day (WODs) with people who have similar goals!

I love CrossFit because I love the diversity of workouts, which helps lessen both injuries and burnout.

I really enjoy working alongside fellow CrossFitters and coaching them when they make some personal bests, find muscles they didn’t know they had, and start shaping their bodies into better versions of themselve

I have been running since I was 12 years old! I have raced more than 20 marathons, 3 full Ironman triathlons, more than 7 half Ironman triathlons, and countless shorter races. CrossFit allowed me the opportunity to cross train with a great group of people and find muscles I didn’t know existed. I love coaching and seeing people reach their fitness goals and set new ones.

I am the CrossFit Kids coach and watching the kids thrive has been very rewarding. I can help with training kids, runners, and triathletes.
