Our Policies

House Rules

Be early. Give yourself enough time to sign in, change, set-up, and warm-up before class. Make sure you’re on-time for the briefing; it starts promptly at the start of class. That may mean showing up 5-10 minutes prior to class.

Clean up. We work out together, we clean up together. Make sure you wipe down all equipment you used and put it away where it goes. Stack the boxes neatly, put the bars in the racks, stack the plates in order, hang up your jump ropes.

Respect the equipment. Please do not drop ANY equipment unless you have adequate weight in bumper plates on it. ALWAYS keep your weights under control. NEVER drop an empty barbell, a kettlebell or dumbbell unless your physical safety is imminently endangered. Our equipment is expensive, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy it.

Cancel Early. Cancel as soon as you know you cannot come to class. This ensures the coach isn’t waiting for you and setting up extra equipment. Everyone has things come up, please just let us know.

Safety First. Always ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.

Support Each Other. We are colleagues, not competitors. Cheer on everyone around you and help encourage them.

Come to class. Try to stay consistent. We’re here to get fitter together and we love to you see you. You can always work on the basics.

Membership Changes. For changes or modification, email kwcrossfit@gmail.com. Please note that any changes require a 2-week notice prior to the first of the month in order to process your request.

Kids and Dogs

We love your dogs and kids! To keep everyone safe, to keep the gym clean, and to make sure there’s enough space to workout though, we ask that you abide by our policies.

DOGS

  • Dogs are not allowed at the gym. Dexter, our mascot, is the only dog that can visit.

BABIES

  • Please keep young children on the green or in the sitting area.
  • Babies in strollers are welcome to accompany a parent to class.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your baby doesn’t disrupt class, even in the middle of your workout.
  • You are responsible for making sure your stroller is parked in a safe and secure location: please keep them on the turf and please ensure that there is PLENTY of space between your stroller and anyone who is working out with weights (including you!)

KIDS

  • You can bring your child to the gym, but to minimize disruption and potential safety hazards we ask that you only bring kids if absolutely necessary.
  • Out-of-stroller kids must be at least 5 years old to accompany a parent to the gym.
  • Kids must sit off the gym floor on the turf and not play with any gym equipment.
  • Kids must not play with any equipment unless their parent has signed an under-18 waiver for them and they have been to at least one CrossFit Kids class.
  • Kids must not get in the way of group class.
  • You are responsible for making sure your kid is staying safe and out of the way, even in the middle of your workout.
  • Coaches are not responsible for your children.
  • We reserve the right to ask you to take your child home if we deem it necessary.
